Nostalgia

The smell, the feel, the warmth, the chill

Fall has a nostalgia to it.

Can’t quite put my finger on it.

Give’s me the warm fuzzies,

shiver’s down my spine, need my glovey’s.

Summer’s over, givin’ the cold shoulder.

crunches under in bunches.

Cold weather creeps through,

sweater weather,

night-time fog, morning dew.

Lace and leather.

Homecoming dances, budding romances,

school’s underway, almost holidaze.

Fire’s clear ablaze, star-lit skies, Harvest moon aglow

beginning of fresh-flaked

Snow! Snow! Snow!

Costumed frights

terrify and giggle All Hallow’s Night.

Each year as we grow,

an unexpected spectacle,

of our Futures show.
